M&S Lip Shimmers Review

We've all had these Xmas gifts from nans, aunts, mums, the neighbors. Non-branded beauty products, usually bought from shops such as Marks and Spencers, BHS, Next... I recieved these a few months ago for my birthday from my nan, and they have pretty much stayed in their packaging, until a few days ago when I rediscovered their existance, and fell in love. The shimmery effect is so pretty, though the colours don't really show up on the lip. They are glossy, glittery, tasty and feel great to wear! Their staying power is enough to challenge any benefit lip gloss and they aren't remotely sticky.

My favourite one is the 'funky orange'. I can't quite decide whether thats because it looks best or it just tastes the best, but I love orange anyway. I also rediscovered a few unopened moisturisers, blushers and cosmetic mirrors. So my Christmas beauty message is, don't be so quick to put unwanted/unbranded beauty products in the "never to be seen again" drawer, or for those a little more money-smart, on ebay! Try them out and don't be a beauty snob just because they have no brand name on them. You never know, you might find a new lipstick which suits you perfectly and chances are, it wont be that expensive!

  1. Love this post, I always make use of non branded makeup. Even if the lipgloss isn't the right colour I will just put it on top of another coloured to merge them together and get the desired effect! x
