John Frieda's "Style on Demand" YouTube Videos!

Thursday, January 19, 2012

For those of you who actually read my ramblings on this blog, you will know that my hair is a raging issue for me! I am constantly trying to discover new products and techniques to make it look reasonably healthy! John Frieda is a brand I am very familiar with, and I have used lots of their products before! I love their smoothing serums and colour revitalising shampoos. Now, they have a series of "Style on Demand" videos on YouTube, which are step-by-step guides showing you how to create some really effective hair styles, all of which are on trend for 2012!

Each video is hosted by a top celebrity stylist, and include styles such as classic retro curls to create an elegant 1940's screen siren look and a celebrity inspired halo plait! I found the videos also contained lots of really useful hair tips for creating extra volume and shine, for example squirting mousse into the brush to apply to your hair so that you get an even distribution. Or, turning your head upside down to blow-dry it! These simple tips really made a difference to my overall look!

This is my favourite video in the series:

And this is my unworthy attempt at re-creating the California Waves look!

Ok, so it's not quite the same as the video, but the tips on how to create volume really worked! My hair feels a lot fuller and healthier, and it really was so simple to do!
