Pink Lace Dress

Dress: Topshop
Long Grey Socks: River Island
Headband: Miss Selfridge
Scarf: Accessorize

I love this dress. Managed to grab it in the sale for about £20. I would have preferred the white one, but I think lots of people have that one and I like to be a bit different! My hair is a little bit awful at the moment, I'm gonna blame pregnancy, but it's more than likely my lack of care. I seem to just be tying it back, even when it's wet as I'm too lazy to dry it all properly! But at just over 34 weeks pregnant, I think I'm allowed to be a bit lazy with my hair!

Am sick of hospitals. Actually sick of them! Firstly, I can never seem to get an appointment straight away. Secondly, they SMELL WEIRD. Hate it. And thirdly, they are too big and I keep getting lost. I have found out that the 34 week blood test is all about testing your Iron levels... so pretty important. I shall go and get it done at some point next week. Hospitals and doctors cause me a lot of stress, which is definitely not good when your pregnant, so I am not looking forward to it. I feel like the only time I feel stressed or worried is when I am at the actual doctors or hospital! Though I'm not considering a home birth. I think I would prefer to have medical help on standby just in case! Oh god, lets not even think about that...

Am I right in thinking it may be time to pack the hospital bag now? I'm almost 35 weeks, so perhaps I should be getting a move on?! xx

  5. Doctors and hospitals “cause you stress” and you think they “smell weird”? Surely, when you decide to have a baby you also decide to put your child’s needs before your own? I’m presuming you are also in the UK and I’m guessing that you are using the NHS over private hospitals. Unfortunately, the NHS does not have an endless supply of money to spend on tests. If it wasn’t necessary, then tax payers money wouldn’t be used to provide it. Personally, I think you are being a little selfish and naive.

    1. Thanks for the comment. I understand that you may not agree with my decisions, but I assure you that I take the welfare of my unborn child extremely seriously. I have attended all midwife appointments and if she insisted I go, of course I would. However, these tests are optional and offered as standard to procedure to every pregnant woman (depending on what part of the country you live in). Pregnant women have a lot of pressure put on them already, and I think it's important to highlight the fact that it's not an illness, its a very natural part of life, and they shouldn't be made to feel guilty for making decisions concerning their own health.
