Dear Alice- Week 4

Dear Alice,

Today you are ONE MONTH OLD! I can't believe how quickly this month has gone by! It seems that every day you are changing so much and I bet in another months time you will seem like a totally different baby. You are so much stronger now and can almost hold your head up by yourself. Everyone keeps saying that means you are advanced and super smart, but I know it's just because you are a nosey little monkey who needs to see what's going on all the time! Haha!

Your hair is getting lighter and lighter so I am hoping you will be a little blondy soon, like me (though mine is not real!). You keep getting lots of spots and I'm trying very hard to keep your skin nice and clean, but I am fighting a losing battle I feel. Still, you are really beginning to enjoy bath time and love kicking around and splashing mummy and daddy!

You have a new little trick! Going for a wee and a poo when we try to change your nappy! I don't know why, but it's become a bit of a habit of yours, and one which we are eager to get you out of as soon as possible. This also means that we are going through about 4 nappies every time we change you. Not so good for our bank balances!

You are getting better at night time now. You wake up at about midnight, and then at 3am. But all you want is some milk, a nappy change and a bit of a cuddle before going back to sleep again, so it's not so bad! Still, can't wait till you sleep a bit longer than 4 hours! I actually don't remember what it was like to sleep through a whole night... or have a shower that lasted longer than 5 minutes, or finish reading a magazine... the list goes on. But as I said, you are growing up so fast that every single second with you is treasured because before I know it you will be all grown up and too big to dress up in bunny hats! So I best make the most of it now!
