Clashing Florals

Outfit: Topshop

This is the outfit that I purchased from Topshop on-line with my vouchers! I am so glad Topshop started accepting vouchers as payment on-line because it's hard to find time to get out and about with a baby. Especially to start rummaging through Topshop! I think Alice may have something to say, or cry, about that! When my confirmation email came through, it said it was charging me the full amount, which scared me as I dont actually have money to buy clothes (everything goes on baby now!), but fortunately nothing was taken out of my account so the vouchers must have gone through. Phew!

Clashing prints is something I have been a little weary of, mainly because I don't want to end up looking like a clown. Or worse, a crazy mother who has given up on nice clothes and just throws on the first thing she can find in the morning (Ok, I still do that. But the trick is to make sure you keep nice looking clothes around the place so that you can't really go wrong no matter what you throw on!). I think the trick of clashing prints is to stick to a similarity, or something which makes them connect for example the colour or the pattern. So I stuck with floral prints for this outfit and brought the two pieces together with a plain denim jacket.

If you are wondering what I do with my baby while I take these photos (understandable, I do go on about her a lot!), don't worry I haven't left her alone! She is usually in her little swing, or on her play gym just behind the camera! I try to take these pictures in the afternoon when she has been fed and is all happy and content!

xx
