Leather Jacket: Asos
Leopard Print Scarf: Accessorize
Trilby: Topshop
I have wanted this grey speckled Topshop dress for ages. Every single other blogger seems to have invested in the t-shirt version of it (basically the same but with t-shirt sleeves!), but I really like the strappy look! It was so cheap for a dress, only £25 and I'm so glad I bought it! It's so comfortable, it literally feels like I'm wearing a pyjama top because of it's soft texture. And the colour is so versatile, I can accessories it with practically any colour I want! I've taken inspiration from other bloggers who have worn this dress with leather to toughen it up a bit. I couldn't say no to the trilby though! Seriously obsessed with it now.
My nail polish is also from Topshop. It's called the "Bee's knees". I don't know why, but I have been wanting yellow nail polish for a while now. Maybe because it's such a fun and different colour to wear. It took a few coats to get it to that dark yellow colour I was after, but I do like the sheer yellow effect it can give with just one coat too.
Not sure if I've mentioned my hair yet. I know I was debating what to do with it... well obviously I went with a full fringe! I love it, it's so different from my old style and I finally feel like my hair is doing something useful as opposed to just sitting on my head! As for the colour, I got it highlighted again, but added some warmer, darker tones. I'm going to try to gradually darken it a little, mainly to give my hair a bit of a break. Poor thing. It really felt good to get my hair done, and feel a bit more myself again. Especially as I've been so tired recently. It's so easy to "let yourself go" after you have a baby, because you get so tired and your whole life seems to revolve around feeding and changing nappies! But if you can find the time to just do something for yourself, like get a haircut or paint your nails, it really makes you feel fresh and more human! I'm not saying you have to wear make-up all the time and look "perfect". That would be insane! I've had my share of pyjama days. But if you can find that odd hour in your schedule to do something for yourself, it really makes a difference!
xx
Your hair is lovely! Love the fringe! Xo
