Anoraks and Pastels

Friday, June 01, 2012

Top: Topshop
Skirt: Topshop
Trilby: Topshop
Anorak: Asos
Nails: Topshop Bee's Knees & Rimmel London Disco ball
Eyelashes: Beautyy

I bought this anorak because I thought it would be a good investment for the summer (English summer = rain!). It's lightweight and the colour means it can be worn with pretty much any summery outfit without feeling too wintery. It would also be great at a festival as it folds up pretty small, good for fitting in one of those cute floral backpacks.

I'm loving the pastel and floral trends for the summer, two of my favourite things! This crop top from Topshop has a sheer/ see-through section round the neck line, which is really pretty. I love the sheer trend at the moment, but I don't like it to be too revealing. I see lots of girls wearing sheer tops with pretty bralets underneath, which looks great on them, but it's not for me. I really wish I could wear crop tops too, but after having a bubba my tummy isn't what it was and I would rather wait till I have time to tone up a bit first.

I'm thinking about getting back into shape. During pregnancy I was very lucky and didn't put on too much weight, but the usual areas did suffer a little (tummy, bum, thighs). I have a couple of stretch marks on my thighs and a couple smaller ones on the side of my tummy (those ones are actually pretty cute and I'm proud of them!). Since having Alice everything has just kind of lost it's shape so I would love to get down the gym and tone up a little now! Swimming has always been a hobby of mine so I think that's what I shall do. If I ever get time...

xx
