Dear Alice,
You are almost crawling. It is amazing to see you growing up and moving more and more. You can almost sit up by yourself as well. If I balance you and let you go slowly, you can manage to sit by yourself for a few seconds! It's so weird to see you sitting like that when only a few months ago you were new born and barely opening your eyes.
You developed an awful rash the other day, which I was worried about. It looked like little raised red spots on your belly. I took you to the doctors and she thought it looked like a food allergy. However, I can't work out which food it is that is giving you it because I am mixing different things together now. So I am temporarily resorting back to giving you individual tastes until I figure out what it is! I have a sneaky suspicion it might be that tomato sauce you has a week ago... but we shall do some investigating!
I am making you food from scratch now too! I feel so bad about giving you jars for every single meal so I bought a book and am making food. It's not as hard as it looks! I made you some chicken, sweet potato and carrots the other day and you loved it! It was so easy to make, I just cooked the veg and chicken and poured it all in a pan with some special chicken stock made for babies. Then I blended it all together and put it in the freezer. It tasted great, much better than those jars! But I may still use them every so often...
xx
Aww, this is so sweet! Homemade baby food sounds like a great idea too. x

Oh I hope you find out what caused that rash soon, poor Alice! I'd love to find the time to make my own baby food, but I just don't have it! I do give him fingers of cucumber and other things which he loves though. How are Alice's teeth? Xo
ReplyDeleteI have a little Alice too. She just turned 1. She was named after my grandmother.
