On Monday I was 25. A quarter of a century old!
It made me think a lot about what I have achieved so far and what I want to achieve in the future. And then I thought... Forget that! If you had asked me where I'd be at 25 5 years ago, it would NOT be here! I didn't want kids till my 30's. At least! I never thought I would meet anyone who would put up with my Big Brother obsession for more than 5 minutes. And I didn't think we would be living in a beautiful little cottage talking about getting married this year! Nope. Not me.
Here's the thing. Life is unpredictable. I mean, look at some people's jobs. I doubt many children would dream of being the operations manager for a gas company when they grew up, but there they are! Babies pop up when you don't expect them too, jobs become available when you don't think they will be and life has a way of just happening around you. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe in God, or religion or spirituality, but I do believe that some things are meant to happen. And I was meant to be Alice's mummy!
So here's to the next 25 years, whatever they may bring!
xx
