Mummy's Summer Style
Mummy fashion should always be effortless yet alluring, but who has time to keep up with trends with a family to take care of? One of the best ways to stay stylish is to spot summer trends that are easy to pull off and flattering to wear. Some of these venture close to classic styles, but they can be altered for a fresh summer look. Here’s what to look for and how to wear it.

The happy (colour) family. Monochrome is a new trend, and it’s so easy to do that you’ll want to wear it all the time. Just pair two items from the same colour family but far enough apart to create some contrast. For example, this Coral Pleat Shoulder Peplum Top and a pair of Brave Soul Plum Denim Shorts work well together. So do this Inspire Dark Red winter cable knit tube skirt and red cropped t-shirt.

Striping it up. One of the simplest ways to put together an outfit that looks both stylish and classy is to opt for stripes. And this season, it will be a breeze to find items in stripes, from maxi dresses to button-up blouses. You can go for a classic navy and white look with skinny stripes, but if you want to hit on a summer trend, search for wide stripes in nontraditional colour pairs. Or, you could mix it up with this Monochrome Multi Stripe Side Split Maxi Dress.

Bermuda beauty. Not everyone enjoys squeezing into a tiny pair of short shorts, and if you fit this bill, you’ll love this summer’s offering of Bermuda shorts. These shorts are cut longer and tailored for a looser fit so that you have room to breath. The stylish way to girl up Bermuda shorts is to pair them with casual heels and a flirty top.

White out. Keep cool and look classic with a white-on-white ensemble for more formal occasions. Wearing a head to toe ensemble in true white will not only make you stand out but it will also give you more room to play with your accessory and makeup choices. Pair your white outfit with a nude heel and red lipstick to make splash.

Keeping it kittenish. No more suffering through an entire day in four-inch heels! Whether you’re stuck in meetings all day, enjoying a day with your family exploring the city or you’re trying to decide what to wear to a formal event, you can find a pair of comfortable, mid-length heels that will allow you to stay on your feet all day while looking stylish. Just take these Moda in Pelle Jamrock Black Gold Cross Heels for example, and you’ll see there’s no need to sacrifice style for comfort.
