We need a holiday!

Thursday, March 07, 2013

With the weather beginning to brighten up this week, all I have been thinking about is "we need a holiday!" The last time we went on holiday as a family was when Alice was only 3 months old. We went to the Isle of Wight for a week, and it was one of the best weeks of my life! It was the first time we were together as a family, alone. I remember being so nervous I had forgotten everything and worried about how I would cope with Alice without having my mum 2 minutes away! But it was amazing.

With Easter coming up, I would love to take Alice away again. She is so much older now and she loves new, exciting places to explore! I came across Cumbrian- Cottages, and they have some. I came across cumbrian-cottages , and they have some great offers on at the moment which are perfect for our potential Easter getaway. I really like the idea of renting a cottage and better still, they've recently released their new brochures for 2013 which we will definitely be having a look at coming up to Easter. I really like the idea of renting a cottage. I think it would make life so much easier to have our own space with Alice where she can roam around and explore and we can do our own thing in a homely environment. Their offers are actually really good, especially as we are trying to save money at the moment!

Gosh, I just realised how young I look in that picture above! Flash forward a year and I look like a granny! That's what motherhood does to you. We could definitely do with a nice break away. Soon!

xx

  1. Aww, you look glowing in that picture - dont forget though that the weather was probably a bit nicer there and our skin always perks up with a hint of sunshine. You're still a yummy mummy!! If you wear foundation I can really reccommend Rimmel's Wake Me Up, does wonders for my skin in these awful winter months xx
