On Tuesday we took Alice to the farm for the morning. I realised how lucky we are to live so close to a farm, seeing as we are in the middle of London! You can see the electricity pylons in the background of some of the photos, which just shows how near we are to the town centre. We are always looking for free, fun toddler friendly places to visit, and the farm is a new favourite! Alice loved poking her hand through for the sheep and chicken to have a sniff at.
We still keep the reins on Alice, mainly because she doesn't really enjoy having her hands held. We don't always use them, we do let her sort of wonder around. But we feel better having them on her for when she tries to make a run for it. Also, there were tractors coming in and out and it was just safer to grab hold of her reins during these moments. It's nice to be able to give her freedom without compromising her safety.
Alice was more interested in trying to get through the gate than in the gorgeous little baby sheep saying hello!
The chicken were her favourite! we were literally running round and round them for ages while she laughed and tried to poke her hands through the metal!
