Saturday was definitely the better day this weekend! Alice was relatively well so we took a trip to the farm. I love our local farm, it has a farm shop, beautiful little cafe and a garden which is made of recycled bits and bobs, including old baths!
I think this is how I would like to remember our weekend. Not being up all night Saturday and Sunday with Alice because of a silly cold which keeps her nose blocked and doesn't let her sleep! I hate feeling helpless when Alice is ill. I wish there was more I could do. The thing is, I don't like giving her every available medicine under the sun. I don't really feel comfortable doing that. I mean, sure a bit of calpol or neurofen every now and again, but there is so much out there nowadays you can give young children, I just don't know where to start. And to be honest, steam from the shower seems to work a treat with her stuffy nose!
As always, here are some more photos from our day! And yes, I have dyed my hair darker. The blonde was lovely but it was beginning to do some serious damage to my hair and just had to go. Bye bye blonde!

ReplyDeleteWe've all had colds this week too, so had very little sleep! I have always found the plug-in calpol vaporisers to be amazing, they give off oils which unblock noses. I'm sure they aren't entirely natural but you leave them in all night and they really do work. They are my number one essential for colds! x
