The Christmas Market

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

On Sunday we decided to pop to town for a few hours with Alice. I was secretly hoping, but not holding out much hope, that there would be a few Christmassy things about. OBVIOUSLY the entire high street was covered with Christmas lights, trees, reindeer and sparkles and I felt totally stupid for even wondering if it was too early for some tinsel in WH Smiths.

We wondered upon a Christmas market selling every Christmas nic nac you could imagine and all sorts of food and drink. The lights were beautiful, the music was blaring and Alice was busy chasing pigeons and running off through the crowd.

I also just want to thank everyone for your support on this post. I know I am not the only one to go through this, and I know it will happen and I just need to let life take it's course. But I think it just became so hard to keep waiting in silence, alone. I just wanted to climb onto my roof and yell, "I WANT IT NOW!" at the top of my lungs. So instead I wrote a blog post. I don't normally put up such personal posts, but the support has been so overwhelming. So thank you everyone, so much.

Literally runs away every two seconds to chase those pigeons.

Pork and apple sauce. Lovely!

Come on Christmas! We're waiting for you!!!

  1. Alice's coat is just darling! All the Christmas fayres open on the 22nd in Edinburgh, I can't wait. Good for you for writing your previous post, there is absolute no shame in admitting what you really want and feeling sad and frustrated at times, just think when it happens it will be all the sweeter :)

  2. I loooove Christmas markets! When I was a child we always used to go to the German ones, so much fun! You're so lucky to live in London, there is so much more going on than in our sleepy village. Great photos...loving your hat :)
