Visiting Bath in 2014

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

As a family, we would love to travel more. I think when Alice was younger we were always a little unsure about travelling too far with her in case there was an emergency or we forgot something massively important that we would just die without! Now that Alice is a toddler, we both feel so much more confident taking her out and about. She eats well, she can let us know when she needs to go poo poo and we seem to be able to travel a lot lighter now. Our new resolution for 2014, is to travel more!

There are so many places I would like to see (Paris being one of the top on my list!), but we always seem to end up researching trains to Bath. Dave and I have been talking about visiting this historic city for quite some years now (yep, years!), and we think Alice would love it too! From the Roman remains to the local farmers markets, it just all seems like such a fairy tail place. That, on top of the fact that my favourite author of all time Jane Austen resided there, makes Bath one of the places we would love to visit in 2014.

If anyone has visited Bath before, do let us know of any 'must-do' things, and any tips on taking a toddler would be appreciated too!

And if you would like to visit Bath, or any other UK destination, First Great Western are currently running a competition offering 2 first class tickets to a UK destination of your choice! Just click here to enter!

Good luck! xx
