Happy Friday!

It's Friday! Yay!

This week has... like most weeks... been full of ups and downs. Firstly, the weather has been amazing and temperatures in London are set to soar over the weekend. Yay! There's nothing like the promise of a sunny weekend to set your mind racing with ideas of what to do and where to go... I can't wait. We have been out every day and let me tell you something, I did not realise just how good fresh air can be for your mood and health! I feel amazing and all that extra exercise in the week has done wonders for my sleep at night, and Alice's too.

On the flip side, this week has been a nightmare for nap time. The main problem being, Alice is simply refusing them. I really wouldn't mind (never been one to go by the rules with young children) but she is so so tired and irritable come the afternoon I just don't know what to do with her! Nothing keeps her entertained for very long and of course, when she is tired she tends to tantrum more. About everything. The only good thing that has come out of this is that she has started sleeping longer at night. Gone are the 5am wake ups and in it's place a lovely 6.30-7am lie in! So I think when I do finally figure out how to get her to nap again, I may be tempted to cut it down a little from 2 hours to maybe 1? It'll be trial and error I suppose...

As for the other baby, all is pretty good there! Baby has been waking up in my tummy at about 8pm every night which is the only time of the day I am sitting still for long enough to feel the little movements! We are taking a trip to Ikea at the weekend to figure out this bedroom situation as eventually there will be two little ones in one room and I want to make sure I can squeeze them both in without compromising their space too much... Ikea is pretty good for clever storage solutions!

I am looking forward to the promise of more sun for next week. How about you?

Have a lovely weekend, see you on Monday!
xx

  1. Awwww, my eldest wont nap anymore either. I used to rely on the two of them going for a morning nap at 10am so I could do something of my own but nowadays Livvy has to join in whatever that is too. She does start to flag in the afternoon and ocasionally settles for a nap around 1/2pm but that would be too long for Miley to wait for hers. We went to ikea last weekend and got a lovely little desk and chairs for the girls. Def need to go back!! Enjoy your weekend xx
