Last week we took a weeks holiday to the Isle of Wight. It was amazing, and we were so lucky with the weather. Most days we were able to spend on the sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin, making sandcastles and splashing in the sea! Now Alice is a bit older, she was able to really appreciate the beach and it was so much fun to see her experiencing sandy toes and the sound of the waves for the first time!
Holidays with toddlers are the best. Sure, it wasn't all smooth running and we had a few tantrums to deal with, but the excitement of being somewhere new and playing in the sand all day definitely outweighed it. This holiday had a special sort of meaning too as it will be the last family holiday we spend as a three. Next year, there will be another little baby to contend with as well as a rapidly growing up 3 and a half year old! I know this is really clichéd but... it goes so quickly!!!
