Have you got a load of chocolate left over form discarded, half eaten Easter eggs? Haha, we have! Alice seems to get really excited about unwrapping an egg, taking one bite and then discarding the rest on the floor for Thomas to try and nibble at!
So, I kept reading about these hot cross biscuits, and decided to turn them into choc chic biscuits using crushed up Easter Eggs! They are so easy to make, super quick and really delicious!
The recipe is a simply butter biscuit one:
300g Plain Flour
140g Caster sugar
250g butter
1 egg yolk
You simply whisk all these ingredients together to make a dough, stir in the chocolate pieces, make into biscuit shapes and cook the in over (180, gas 5) for about 20 minutes until golden brown on top. The cross is just a butter and icing sugar mix.
See! Totally easy to make. But super yummy and a great way of dealing with all of those bits of chocolate round the house!
Enjoy! xx
