Cooking with Toddlers: Simple Jam Tarts!

Sunday, December 27, 2015

I love baking with Alice, it's so much fun! And she loves that she can actually create something that she can eat and enjoy at the end. These jam tarts are super easy. I have included the recipe below!

Take 255g of plain flour and mix together with 140g of unsalted butter. Let toddler mix with hands (they love that for some reason...) until it forms breadcrumbs. Then add a little water until it forms a dough.

Roll out dough and cut out some pastry cases. Put the cases into a cupcake tray and add a spoonful of jam (or marmalade!). Cut out some stars, or any shapes you like with the remaining dough and press over the top, sticking it with a little water.

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees C or gas mark 5 for 15-20 minutes, or until they go a golder brown. Sprinkle with a little icing sugar and don't turn your back on them for too long as you will find toddler has licked the jam out of most of them...

Enjoy!

  4. Reverse Hair Loss Program Review Hair restoration treatment becomes essential as it makes you look younger and stay beautiful even if age is taking a toll on you. When you age, you may become bald as the thick growing hair starts to fall when the cell degeneration starts. Other than this, people can also experience a hair loss owing to some physiological and genetic reasons. What is to be noted that despite knowing all this and irrespective of the gender, type and status, the humankind has aversion towards baldness. http://innertradingcirclereviews.co/reverse-hair-loss-program-review/.
