Family Xmas Adventures with Volvo- #ad

Tuesday, December 22, 2015

A couple of weekends ago we were given the opportunity to take the Volvo XC90 R-design for a little road trip to the Peak District! With it's huge boot, we managed to pack duvet's, bags with several clothes changes for the children, two buggys and toys... basically everything we could possibly think of! Then we sat back in the heated seats and enjoyed the smooth ride up north. Dave said the car was a dream to drive. We had fun trying out all the features, including being able to change the heating and radio station just by speaking!

We really put this off-road car to the test, taking more than a few wrong turns down some pretty bumpy country lanes. However, the kids were quite comfortable in the back, with plenty of room for their long legs! We stayed in a yurt, which was amazing. Full of fairly lights, a real fire and our own Christmas tree, it was beautiful. There was no internet connection, no electricity and no tv. We spent the evening watching the rain and wind out of the roof window and hopping from bed to bed! It was warm and cosy and so nice to just, spend time as a family, cooking food and playing silly games.

When we got back home, we decided to buy our Christmas tree. The boot was roomy enough to accommodate the 6 footer we bought!

All in all, it was a lovely Christmassy weekend. The Volvo is definitely made for families, with plenty of room for the 5000 things you just have to pack when travelling with little children! Do check out our vlog below to see the Volvo in action!
