Life Lately!

Tuesday, August 23, 2016

I LOVE taking too many photos of my kids and my life and posting them all over instagram. But, I have to admit, I don't really do much with them once their up. I sometimes find myself flicking through my instagram photos before I go to bed, but when I'm posting so many, they tend to get lost. So I'm going to start posting them on my blog again in little weekly blogs posts. I'm hoping that by writing about what we've been up to and posting them as little reminders, it will stop them form getting too lost! These are from summer 2016 so far.

We've spent most of our time outdoors! Playing with the sprinklers on the new lawn, visiting the lavender fields, the woods, going sunflower and carrot picking and having lots of fun! My niece turned 1 years old! Yikes!! And my kids seem to have shot up at the speed of light too.

Thomas turns 2 on Sunday and we have a little camping trip planned in the Peak District to celebrate! We are trying this new thing, for birthdays and Christmas, where we make it more about the experience over material things. So we only bought him a few little presents and his main present will be the camping trip and a little trip to lego land when we get back! We are doing the same for Christmas, visiting lots of little Christmas markets and going to meet father christmas. I think experiences way outweigh stuff. I'm just going to try and stick to my guns when everyone starts posting pictures of the million and one toys they have bought their children!! haha!

  1. I'm so with you on the material things!! Last year we decided not to go overboard for Christmas (we did, ofcourse) and whilst I was having a sort out the other day, the eldest has still got 90% of her presents in her wardrobe still in their plastic wrapping! This year I've decided we are going to just get a yearly adoption pack for Monkey World with a years free pass and 2 small presents each to open! xx
