An Arctic Scene

Wednesday, November 23, 2016

I know lots of you have been asking about Alice's home schooling and how it's been going. If you follow me over on Youtube, you'll probably have noticed it's all a lot of work! Now that I am home educating, I have even less time for blogging and photography than before, which is why the blog has been a little quiet!

We have been learning all about the arctic. We've covered the Northern lights, polar bears and ice fishing. The other day I made an igloo with Alice using polystyrene balls I got with my Lush products! I made a little snowy arctic scene for the kids to play with and explore. I am a big fan of making up these little small world scenes. Alice is able to use her imagination when she plays to imagine how it would feel to live in the arctic. This also sparks up lots of discussion and she begins to ask lots of questions which, with help from google, I am able to answer for her. It's also a great project to do with her and she's always pretty proud when we finish them.

I hope to share lots more home schooling activities on my blog over the next few months as we really begin to get to grips with it all. I think they would also be great activities to do with young children, or just at the weekend or in the holidays! So let me know if you want to see more and I shall oblige!
