Almost Spring

Friday, February 16, 2018

Ah, nearly a new season at last. I feel like it's been forever since I blogged anything. My camera is on the top of the fridge gathering dust I'm afraid. I just haven't picked it up for the longest time. I took a bit of a break from the online world and honestly, it's been the best thing. I find myself spending far more time with the kids, my house is cleaner, we have managed to fit in more extra curricular activities in the week and ultimately, I've been a lot happier. I really urge everyone to reconsider how much time you are spending online and to cut it down by at least half, you will definitely thank me.

However, I have missed taking photos of my family. Looking back at my blog often makes me feel sad that I have just stopped capturing all those little moments. So I am determined to get back to it. This blog was always such an amazing hobby and passion of mine, especially before it became a business, and I would really like to reignite that love for photography and blogging again.

So spring is almost here. I am busy planning the garden and we have lots of changes happening in our family right now. I hope to show you more of our garden and the changes in our home and to start photographing my growing kids again. They are seriously getting so big I can not handle it! When did that even happen?

Spring sounds like the perfect time to make some changes, not just for this blog, but for myself too. I feel very weighed down with everything sometimes and I miss having an outlet for that. It used to be very therapeutic to be able to sit here and write up my day, or my worries or my hopes for the future and I think it would really help with some of my stress and anxiety to start doing that again.

So hello everyone. I am dusting off my camera and very tentatively dipping my toes back into the blogging world. Wish me luck.

(Some photos from spring 2 years ago. LOOK HOW LITTLE MY BABIES WERE!!)
