Strawberry Picking

Tuesday, July 16, 2019

We go strawberry picking every single year, without fail. It's one of those things that's just become a family tradition without us really over thinking it. I love the pick your own farm. The kids love it too and I find that they are far more willing to try new fruit and veg if they have picked it themselves. I usually let them help with the cooking process too, which is actually one of the reasons they now eat sweetcorn!

The past year has been a little rough. If you read my update you'll know that I've found working full time and trying to keep on top of family and home life, very difficult. Our time as a family has diminished and the time that we do have together, is usually spent trying to get things done quickly so we can go home and do chores or I can prepare things for work and school. I've missed our long weekends most. Weekends feel so incredibly short now. It's a case of getting everything done or ready for the working week, as opposed to actually doing anything fun and as a family. I am so excited to be able to spend more time together as a family now I'm not working full time again.

Thanks for reading. Be back soon! xx

I love hearing your thoughts... (And don't forget to follow me too!)
