This is just a quick update on the renovations! We've moved into our new house.
It's been about 2 weeks since the day we moved in and slowly we are settling into our new surroundings. The day of the move was intense! Lots of boxes and misplaced toys and having to organise piano movers and work around the kids being in school. These pictures are of the day the kids came home from school to the new house for the first time. We had no bunk beds yet so they were sleeping on the floor, as were we! Everything had just been thrown in, lamps hadn't been set up, clothes were still in suitcases. Moving in one hell of a stress!
It's been a couple of weeks now and things are looking better. We are beginning to organise ourselves and it is slowly starting to feel like home. I've started pulling down the overgrown garden and the wallpaper is coming off in the hallway. The kitchen is a little more organised and we've actually had proper family meals at the table (after living on ready meals and take away's for a little while! Perk of moving house :) )
There's a lot to do in this house. Walls need plastering still, the kitchen needs replacing, chimneys need blocking up and our very old fashions water tank central heating system all needs replacing. But it will all get there. Our first major job is to get a loft conversion so Alice and tommy will have their own rooms! So that's what we are working on now.
One step at a time I think. But you know what, it's ours. And we are so flipping happy to finally be homeowners :) xx
